The Coconut Tree  is often referred to as “the tree of life” here in the Fiji Islands offering great versatility as seen in the many uses of its different parts. A few years ago we had barely heard of coconut oil. Maybe as an ingredient in a vegetable green curry or lined along the shelves of a local health food store, but not applying it to our face. Not yet at least.

Beauty enthusiast, models and people around the world are raving about coconut oil being their go-to beauty product. We decided to investigate the awesome benefits  to share them with you.

How to pick a coconut oil?

Look for Virgin Coconut Oil that has not been hydrogenated, bleached, refined or deodorized. Coconut oil that has the least amount of processing retains a more natural unrefined state.

How to store it?

If you store  coconut oil below 76 degrees Fahrenheit it will solidify, and above that temperature it will liquefy. You can easily liquefy the oil in warm water and does NOT need refrigeration.

Coconut Oil use for Body and Hair

Many commercial body and face moisturizer contain water and petroleum based ingredients that either suffocate the skin, or quickly absorb in the case of water. Use coconut oil to provide deep and long last moisture for the skin with a nice natural scent containing no added fragrance. The oil also helps remove dead cells on the skin’s surface often making your appearance more dull rather than glowing.
